Four craft roles
Assault craft · VANGUARD
A wedge-shaped craft with twin barrels. Eliminate distant threats and break enemy lines with piercing rounds. Prioritize bosses and distant threats. Overcharge focuses dangerous targets and adds penetration to break their formation.
Medic craft · LIFELINE
A white rescue hull with crescent support pods. Reach endangered allies quickly and restore the front with healing beams and emergency rescue. Approach fallen allies. Proximity rescue is 1.5× faster. With 45 repair energy, Emergency Pulse instantly revives one ally in range.
Plasma craft · INFERNO
A broad crescent hull with orange furnace nozzles. Sprays a wide plasma fan into nearby groups and escapes danger with a brief shield. Lure groups into a chokepoint. Deploy the ring to leave a 3-second damage zone, then escape under a 1.5-second shield.
Science support craft · ORACLE
Concentric orbital rings and hovering support drones. Slows enemies and controls scattered targets with chain pulses. Watch charge warnings. Interrupt charges with the field, then give your squad time to fight using slow and chain pulses.
Enemies and weaknesses
Arka's guide organism. Spores in its chitin shell direct units of other materials. Physical rounds work against the joints in its heat-dispersing shell.
A conductive circulation organism that carried ions through the ice. Its fluid body sheds impacts, but electricity spreads through its internal circuits.
Frozen armor organisms maintain the return facility's low temperature. Heat must break their bonds; freezing them further will not help.
Hot vapor organisms carry underground heat to the surface. They withstand more heat, but cold destroys the temperature gradient that holds their bodies together.
Wave progression
Face tiny enemies in waves of 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128. After clearing most of a wave, progress to 2 medium enemies with small escorts, then larger mixed formations and broodmothers. Movement gets faster and spawn intervals shrink as you progress. Squad versus lasts 3 minutes.
The first enemies spawn about 0.25 seconds after launch. Downtime between early small-enemy waves is about 3 seconds shorter. In-wave formation intervals and later reinforcement rules are unchanged.
Cores and loot
Right-click diamond credits to attract and collect them. Circular outlines appear only when selected. Aimed shots can destroy credits; each passing untargeted bullet also has a 20% chance to shatter one.
Scheduled supplies fly in from beyond the battlefield like meteors. Defeated enemies scatter rewards at their wreck. Right-click to track and collect moving supplies. Supplies expire 20 seconds after spawning.
Technology Core
Each pickup adds 2 levels to your equipped weapon and 2 research cores. Each weapon level adds 20% base damage. Research progress caps at 3; weapon upgrades continue beyond that. Unlock technology at mothership LV 3/5/8 plus research progress 1/2/3. Disappears after 20 seconds on the ground.
Speed Core
Selected weapon fire rate +15%, up to +60% over 4 pickups. Also grants 2 research core units. Replaces 30% of existing core drops; no extra spawns. At the cap, grants +2 weapon levels instead. Expires after 20 seconds. Upgrades reset on a new sortie.
Firepower Core
Selected weapon damage bonus +25%, up to +100% over 4 pickups. Also grants 2 research core units. A rare core replacing 5% of existing core drops. At the cap, grants +2 weapon levels instead. Expires after 20 seconds. Upgrades reset on a new sortie.
Clairvoyance
Rare radar upgrade. Each pickup increases the collecting craft’s map, enemy detection and scout drone range by 40%, up to 120% over 3 levels. Enables enemy detection from the first pickup. Replaces 10% of existing core drops. At maximum level, converts to a technology core. Resets on a new sortie.
Equipment Crate
Supplied every 3 minutes. Collect to open and reveal equipment for a specific craft. Leave other craft's gear for its pilot. Crates disappear after 20 seconds; revealed gear gets a fresh 20-second pickup window. Common 58% · Rare 28% · Epic 12% · Legendary 2%.
The story of Mars
